Every year since 1984 the adult film world has been taking a day off from the steamy Hollywood, Ca. film sets and travelling to Las Vegas, to be honored on a very special night for the work they have accomplished throughout the year. The Adult Show Vegas was created to pay tribute to the actors, actresses, and the crew behind the cameras in the porn industry. Their goal is to pay tribute to the industry’s vow of erotic imagination and free spirit. The Adult Show Vegas is endorsed and sponsored by Adult Video News which was founded in Chatsworth, California.

The 2008 AVN awards show was a high point for the ceremonies, since they were observing their 25th anniversary. The extremely popular Vivid Entertainment Group took home the most awards last year, where they were credited with a handful of awards in a range of different categories including Best Film and Best Director.

While you might suspect that the only people you would see at this celebration are busty blondes and toned guys, you would have been way off. You are very likely to find porn actors socializing with some very famous Hollywood mainstream personalities at the AVN awards ceremony. Some unlikely individuals who have been seen or even presented awards in past events include Dustin Diamond, Christina Aguilera, Criss Angel, Carrot Top, Sean Penn, Eddie Van Halen and Dave Navarro among others. Even rappers are involved in the porn world these days; rumor has it that Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent have been investing in porn films for a while now.

The 2009 Vegas Adult Awards will feature over 100 categories with everything from best director to best film and any other category related to porn films you can imagine. The awards given out to the winners are called “Woody’s” and the recipients of a Woody are selected by industry equals and other professionals and critics of the adult movie business. Nominees for the AVN awards must have movies available for purchase in at least 100 retail outlets, and the film should have been released before the 30th of September of the previous year. The 2009 AVN Vegas will be presented on Saturday, January 10th in the Mandalay Bay Resort Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The game of poker in the past was a game accessible only in hotels in Vegas or from electronic poker machines, but now it is more in style than ever in Las Vegas, Nevada thanks to the TV.

The popular Venetian Hotel, is now banking on this popularity with its new audience-participation show called “The Real Deal!” in its showroom in the Venetian Hotel and Casino, beginning in October.

Their new show will unite comedy and game show elements to entertain its live audience. The audience will also be able to take part in the popular game of Texas Holdem’ alongside the the best poker players in the world. Many prizes are available for the audience including a chance to win 1$ million.

In “The Real Deal!” the audience members will play with players like Doyle Brunson, Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu. Around 10 of the world’s top poker stars have already signed up for the game show. The audience will be able to play along with the 90 minute game thanks to handheld, wireless, touch screen devices located on each seat.

“People who take a trip to Vegas want to play poker games,” Negreanu says, “but obviously they can’t play in a world poker tournament with the players such as Doyle or Phil Hellmuth. But, in this show, they actually can.” When the show begins, six audience members will be chosen to sit at the poker table on stage with two pro poker players. Each audience member is then involved in the action by being dealt a unique poker hand on their devices. Everyone in the showroom is then involved in the action with big-screen monitors located on stage.

Creators of the show say that you don’t have to be a pro poker player to play in the poker tv show. There are other ways to boost your point total, that doesn’t involve the game of poker necessarily. Betting on the suit of the next poker card or trying to guess which state a particular audience member is from, are just some of the ways to come out a champ in this game.

The shows producers are also betting on the great personalities of the pro poker players to create some interesting moments. People like Scotty Nguyen, the flamboyant five-time World Series of Poker winner, definitely knows about entertaining the crowd and will provide some great entertainment in this upcoming show .

The world-famous Bellagio Hotel has just inaugurated the Yellowtail Sushi Restaurant and Bar and invited some popular celebrities to taste their cuisine. This is the Light Group’s fifth restaurant and their first since they partnered with the Dubai-based Zabeel Investments in February.

The restaurant attracted icons including Leonardo DiCaprio, Eva Longoria, Charlie Sheen and his wife, Paris and Nicky Hilton, Wilmer Valderrama Michelle Rodriguez, Ryan Cabrera, Marlon Wayans, Shar Jackson, Rick Solomon, Brandon Davis, Playboy Playmate Destiny Davis, and Miss Nevada 2008 Veronica Grabwoski.

The stars were invited to taste the delicacies of Chef Akira Back, a former pro-snowboarder turned “Iron Chef America” competitor. The celebs indulged on such specialties as Tai snapper, Kobe beef tataki , king crab tempura, rock shrimp, big-eye tuna pizza, the spicy tuna strawberry roll, and of course every type of sushi imaginable.
Paris dined on the beef tataki, ordering seconds and even thirds. Eva congratulated Chef Back while drinking non-alcoholic beverages and abstaining from the sushi. Wilmer enjoyed the delicacies of the famed chef and ordered table shots for his entourage.

The stars finished the evening by mingling on the hotel and casino’s balcony that overlooks the iconic lake, while the Bellagio’s fountain show was enjoyed by all. A concealed balcony offers outdoor veranda seating and a panoramic view of Lake Bellagio and its fountain and light show. But the greatest visual extravagance is the 25-by-13- foot bronze display at the entrance resembling the dorsal side of a Japanese amberjack.
