Even if you are short on time and money, Las Vegas, Nevada can be a great weekend break away from your hectic schedule if you plan ahead and do some searching. One good tip is to have a clear idea of what you want to see, how long you will stay in Vegas, and where you will be spending the night. If you have a clear idea of these issues, then your getaway to Vegas will certainly be one to remember forever.

As far as buying an airline ticket, this will probably take the most effort on your part to find the best price. Lots of the big airlines are reducing the number of flights, due in part to the financial and gasoline situation in the U.S.. It may be a good idea to compare travel packages from a few different companies; one example of these kinds of packages may be hotel + flight + car rental for a specific price. Sometimes you may find that it is less expensive to pay for these separately. The difference in cost you might find could be significant.

One tip that you may find valuable is to register for e-mail alerts from the Vegas hotels and airlines you are interested in. They will send you an e-mail when their best Las Vegas hotel deals are available somewhere around two months ahead of time. A good tip is to make sure that if you have already reserved a hotel room, keep checking the prices that they are publishing up till the day of your trip. The costs could fluctuate so if you see a rate cheaper than the one you reserved, talk to the hotel about giving a discount.

Also keep in mind that the number of people visiting Vegas is less these days, Las Vegas hotels and resorts are looking for your business. This might be the best opportunity to book a flight to Las Vegas.

Owners of Tao Nightclub launch all new restaurant in The Pallazo Las Vegas

tao
With the huge success of the Tao nightclub at the Venetian Resort Hotel, the creators of this night-time hotspot are creating a brand new Roman/Mediterranean type restaurant called Lavo located in the Palazzo hotel and resort. This innovative plan is based on the Roman bathhouses of ancient times. A great deal of effort has been invested into the historical accuracy of this Las Vegas nightclub/restaurant and into the small details also.

This restaurant can hold 300 people and includes a menu chock full of Mediterranean cuisine. Their menu is designed to encourage the sharing of appetizers and small meals, as opposed to large one-person meals. The restaurant part also has an outdoor terrace which can hold 100 guests and overlooks the notorious Sin City Strip.

The nightclub section has a state of the art audio and video system while live DJs will be on hand to entertain the crowd. The nightclub is open six nights a week opening its doors at 10:00 pm and closing about 5 am. What the nightclub lacks is a VIP section, to this the creators say is to have a more friendly ambiance.

Lavo has lots of eye candy for the guests (especially the male visitors). On hand is a model continuously bathing herself in the restaurant, female dancers, and other models acting out different historical scenarios. On the patio, you will find a stock of hookahs with a “hookah master” helping you make the best decision.

This nightclub is led by the same group that opened Tao Las Vegas in the Venetian Casino in 2005. Ever since the opening of this nightclub it has been one of the hottest clubs in town, visited mostly by celebs. Along with the Tao Asian Bistro and Tao Beach, these have been the highest earning destinations in the U.S. since 2006. This new space will definitely be a huge draw for The Palazzo Las Vegas. You can already find 3000 luxury suites, posh shopping stores, and the greatest eateries and entertainment available in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Visitors are trying to find the best deals in Vegas

In spite of the fact that all the large Las Vegas casinos are pulling out all the stops to attract more Las Vegas visitors this year with rebates and coupons, their slot machine business is dropping. And while Sin City slot machine business creates about two thirds of Las Vegas’ earnings, it’s not such good news for the casino hotels.

According to the Gaming Control Board, bettors are wagering $1.1 billion less in slot machines compared to last year. Slot machines on The Las Vegas Strip are down half a billion dollars. This represents a drop of 12% compared to 2007. With drivers paying more than $4 per gallon for gas, gamblers are really having to budget their spending these days. Although with the cost of gasoline on the decline, these figures could change in the near future.

Vegas casinos aren’t really bothered about this drop in slot machine revenues, the latest figures show that table game play is actually on the rise. On The Strip the volume for table games is up 5 percent, with baccarat play up 15 percent and blackjack on the rise at 7 percent. Even though this may seem like a good thing, the truth is that Las Vegas hotel casinos took in 21 percent less in July due in some part to some lucky Las Vegas gamblers as well as bettors winning a larger percentage than usual.

The famous saying, “The house always wins”, may have been true in the past. But as these reports tell us, Sin City casinos are are trying harder to make a profit than before. This might be a great time for Vegas gamblers to start redeeming their Las Vegas vouchers, taking advantage of rebates, and using their frequent flyer miles. With the Vegas hotel casinos having a run of bad luck, this might be the best occasion for you to take a trip to Las Vegas.
